Account & Security

1. Account types

WhaleLink supports three kinds of accounts:

All three can sign in and subscribe normally, and can receive top-ups or subscriptions from others (see "Top-up for others" below).

2. Sign-in and password

Use letters and digits, and do not reuse the password on other sites.

3. Two-factor authentication (2FA)

Once enabled, signing in requires a one-time code in addition to the password, greatly reducing account-theft risk.

Supported methods:

Configure two or more methods so a single failure does not lock you out.

4. Account linking

Under Settings → Account you can link third-party sign-in methods for quicker sign-in.

Before linking, make sure the third-party account is controlled by you.

5. Top-up for others

Your account identifier (username / email / phone) can be used by someone else to top up or subscribe you — like topping up a phone bill:

The operator enters your identifier → the system shows your account info for confirmation → payment → the benefit goes to your account.

So treat your identifier as a public payee identifier, but do not expose too much personal information publicly.

6. Deleting your account

If you decide to stop using WhaleLink, you can request account deletion.

Deletion is irreversible: account data is removed, and subscriptions and gems are not refunded.

See the Delete Account page for how to request it.
