Connect Your Host
WhaleLink uses "host" to mean the computer running your agent. You can add multiple computers and switch between them anytime.
1. Two ways to connect
LAN direct
When your phone and computer are on the same Wi-Fi, they can connect directly — the fastest and most stable option.
Start the service on the computer, then either scan the QR code shown on the computer with your phone, or enter the address manually.
Through the cloud relay
When they are not on the same network, the connection goes through a relay service. This suits these cases:
- Your phone is on mobile data and the computer is at home
- The computer is on a corporate intranet with no public address
- You need long-term, stable access
2. Host list
After opening the App you will see the host list; each host shows its name and online status.
- Enter: open that host's agent page
- Rename: give it a name you will recognize
- Share host: share access with someone else
- Revoke: cancel a share you have granted
3. Sharing and authorization
Sharing a host creates an authorization; whoever holds it can access that host. Suggestions:
- Share only with people you trust
- Revoke promptly when you no longer need it
- Check the share list regularly and clean up unused authorizations
4. Host count and plans
The number of hosts you can add at once depends on your plan:
- Free trial: 1 host
- Standard: 2 hosts
- Pro: 5 hosts
- Flagship: 15 hosts
If you exceed the limit when a plan expires, the extra hosts become inaccessible — renewing restores them. See Subscription & Plans.
5. Cannot connect?
Check in order:
- Is the service still running on the computer? — rebooting or closing the terminal interrupts it
- Has the network changed? — switching Wi-Fi / mobile data may require reconnecting
- Has the authorization expired? — a revoked share must be obtained again
- Have you exceeded the host limit? — check your plan status
